Q. Do I need to sign a waiver form?
All players/parents will sign a waiver when registering the player through the 360Player app.
Q. What form of payment can I use? Can I pay online?
We currently accept the following payment methods: Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard) and Debit. Payments can be made through the Playmetrics app.
Q. How often do the teams train?
This depends on the age group. Please check the programs listed on our website for more information.
Q. Where does the club train?
From October until March we train indoors at Titan SportsPlex, located at Sinnicks in Niagara Falls. During our outdoor season we train on turf during the spring and grass during the summer in the Niagara area.
Q. Is there a picture day?
The club does a media day for academy players in October to use for social media posts. Team pictures are done in the summer.
Q. Does the club select the tournament hotel we stay at?
The club carefully selects quality, yet cost-effective hotels for the entire team when attending a tournament. In Stay-and-play tournaments a hotel is to be selected from a list provided by the tournament officials. The club will provide more details on accommodation once the tournaments have been selected. Each team can also appoint a volunteer parent to source hotels.

Q. What equipment must I provide for my child to play in the Club?
Indoor and outdoor shoes as well as shin guards. Players must wear their club training kit.
Q. What should we bring to each game?
Both club uniforms, soccer cleats, socks, shin guards, lots of water and weather-appropriate clothing.
Q. How long is the season? When does the season begin?
Please check the programs list for season length and start dates.
Q. Do we participate in tournaments?
Each team takes part in several tournaments throughout the year. The team's head coach will determine the tournaments best suited for each team and these will be discussed at the parent meetings.
Q. Why are academy players registered in the US?
Surf has chosen to sign its academy teams up to play in the USA due to the league structure being more advanced, better competitions and less politics. We are registered with Kenmore Soccer Club in Tonawanda. The US leagues also offer consistent competitive games and leagues with scores, standings, promotion and relegation.
Q. Do you offer additional training?

Q. What is our inclement weather policy?
Your head coach will be in contact should training be cancelled or relocated due to inclement weather. Please review your email, text messages and the Playmetrics app for all communication.
Q. I would like to volunteer. What type of help does the Academy need?
Surf is always looking for volunteers to assist. Please contact info@niagarasurfsoccer.com should you feel your expertise would be an asset to the club.
Q. How many games do each team play?
This varies by age group, league and level of competition. Academy players can play anywhere from 25-40 games per season.
Q. Are we eligible to play in Canada?
Yes, players who wish to play locally in the Niagara region will be registered with the Ontario Soccer Assosiation through our Canadian partner club West Lincoln. Players who wish to compete in the USA will be registered in the USA through our US partner club Kenmore Soccer. Players can not play for two teams in two different countries. An International Transfer Clearance (ITC) must be submitted whenever a player requests to move from one playing country to another.
Q. How does Surf communicate with the teams?
Each team will have their own Playmetrics app for communication. The team Head Coach and Administrator also communicate via e-mails.
Q. How does Surf feel about fundraising?
Surf encourages parents to conduct fundraising to cover any portion of their fees. Each team can form a fundraising committee to organize 3-4 events and if you have a fundraising idea, please email info@niagarasurfsoccer.com with the details of what you propose, and the eventual use of the funds raised.
Q. What is your refund policy?
Player fees are non-refundable. If you choose to leave the team prior to the end of the season, there will be no refunds, the full fee is still due.
Q. Is the club kit included in the fees?
Some programs come with a kit and others do not, please check the programs to see which ones indicate kit included.
Q. How do I get new or additional uniform pieces?
Surf has a partnership with soccer.com and Nike for our kits and apparel. We will have a fitting day for new players. For the kit and additional pieces parents can purchase on our team store at www.soccer.com.
Q. Is insurance included?
All players registered under Surf are insured when attending Surf training sessions, games and/or tournaments in Canada. When playing in the US the players are covered under US soccer and our affiliate club Kenmore Soccer Club insurance policies. We do however recommend ensuring that you have additional out-of-country/travel insurance with proper sports injury coverage while across the border.
